On Friday, 5 June, from 3 p.m., the two daycare centres Sachsenspatzen and Filou, Ludwig-Richter-Straße 27, will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a colourful programme for their children and their parents.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
The dual facility was opened on 3 February 1986 as a classic GDR combined facility with separate crèche and kindergarten areas. Over time, it developed into two independent daycare centres.
From 2012 to 2014, the building was completely renovated and both daycare centres were then able to move back in.
