"Daycare centre & artists" - project ideas wanted
Call for funding for cooperation projects between artists and daycare centres - application deadline until 19 May
The "Kita & Künstler" project, which was already successfully implemented in 2016, is entering its
2nd round. The Kulturraum Stadt Chemnitz is once again inviting regional artists and daycare centres to collaborate creatively. Teams of artists and daycare centres can apply with an artistic educational project until 19 May 2017.
The submitted project ideas will be assessed by a jury and supported with prizes of up to 1000 euros.
The aim of the competition is to give children access to artistic education and enable them to help shape it. The call is aimed at artists from the fields of performing and visual arts who organise workshops, courses or project days together with children aged three to six.
The pilot project was developed by the Cultural Education Network Centre in the Vogtland-Zwickau cultural region and has been successfully implemented there since 2013. The project is funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the City of Chemnitz. Sparkasse Chemnitz is also awarding two sponsorship prizes.
