"Daycare centre & artist" project advertised again
Applications are possible until 4 October
The City of Chemnitz is once again inviting applications for the "Kita & Künstler" project to promote cooperation projects between artists and daycare centres. Artists and daycare centres can still apply for several cooperation projects until 4 October, but only one per institution or person will be funded. The projects submitted are scheduled to run from November/December 2023 to February 2024.
The motto of this year's call for proposals is "Experiencing the city of Chemnitz artistically and aesthetically." This means that the development of project ideas will be based, for example, on how children perceive the city of Chemnitz and what opportunities for artistic and aesthetic experiences they have to engage with the city. Further prerequisites are that the projects enable children to actively participate in their realisation and, if necessary, to come up with ideas, that they can be carried out in the cultural area of the city of Chemnitz, that they complement the daycare centres' offerings and that they incorporate artistic-educational aspects. Additional awards are provided for particularly sustainable implementation ideas. In the event of an award, a grant of up to 2,000 euros is possible.
The cooperation between elementary school teachers and educators with interdisciplinary actors from all areas of art and culture for children aged 2 to 6 years is intended to enable early participation and active involvement of children in educational programmes.
The project is funded by the State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism and co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament.
