Day care centre reopens regularly from Tuesday
From Tuesday, 6 April 2021, the day-care centres, including holiday day-care centres, of the City of Chemnitz will reopen regularly, regardless of the seven-day incidence value. Childcare will be provided in restricted regular operation. The groups must be strictly separated from each other.
The infection protection measures in the centres will be tightened. All staff working in a childcare centre must be tested twice a week.
The daycare centre or school buildings may only be entered by persons who present proof from a body responsible for taking the test or a qualified self-declaration (see appendix) confirming that they are not infected. This proof must not be older than three days. This does not apply to children being cared for in daycare centres and after-school care.
Persons who bring the children to or collect them from the outdoor area of the centre also do not need to provide proof.
From Monday 12 April - after the holidays - this regulation will also apply to primary school pupils at primary and special schools, i.e. they will need proof. Primary school pupils can then be tested twice a week at their respective school.
Here, too, anyone wishing to accompany their children into the building of the daycare centre must present the aforementioned proof. The facility must point out the access ban in the entrance area. A medical face mask, an FFP2 mask or a comparable respiratory protection mask must be worn in front of the entrance area and in the building of the daycare centre. This does not apply to the children being cared for or to staff during childcare.
