David Storl wins World Championship gold in Moscow
David Storl from LAC Erdgas Chemnitz won the gold medal in the shot put at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow this evening, defending his title from Daegu. With 21.73 metres, he clearly prevailed in a highly exciting competition. After Christina Schwanitz's silver medal on Wednesday, this is the second precious metal to go to Chemnitz.
