"DA CAPO - Music for seniors"

Musikcafé im Kraftwerk e. V.

On 3 December 2015 at 3 pm, the Chemnitz Municipal Music School invites you to the next edition of the music café entitled "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" in the large hall of the Kraftwerk e. V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. There will be live music from the DA CAPO Ensemble and young music students from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Admission is 5.00 euros including coffee and cake.

Under the direction of Roswitha Oelsner, the DA CAPO Ensemble, a ladies' quartet, has already played at various events organised by the music school, in retirement homes, at birthday parties and at festive events organised by clubs. The ensemble's varied repertoire includes classical music, waltzes, marches and folk songs.

Roswitha Oelsner is a qualified musician. She teaches violin at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Her students, Lena Keil, Clementine Klotz and Anton Liepezeit, will provide the second item on the programme at the music café under her direction.

Visitors to the music café will hear anecdotes from the everyday life of musicians and the work of the DA CAPO ensemble over coffee and cake in a conversation between Nancy Gibson, Director of the Municipal Music School, and Roswitha Oelsner.

Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
