DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 4 January 2018, 3 p.m.
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 4 January at 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. Toni Leuschner, music teacher at the municipal music school and musician, e.g. with "Eine kleine Blasmusik", will be the guest.
The entrance fee is 6 euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
Toni Leuschner was born in Lichtenstein (Saxony) in 1992. His early musical education led him to the accordion at the age of seven. He took part in competitions at an early age (e.g. Jugend musiziert, "Kleine Tage der Harmonika" in Klingenthal), both nationally (Accordion Music Festival in Bruchsal) and internationally (Accordion Competition in Bulgaria). In 2011, he began studying accordion with Prof Ivan Koval at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar, where he successfully completed his Bachelor's degree after eight semesters in summer 2015. In the Master's programme, he focused on music theory. He has been a music teacher at Chemnitz Municipal Music School since 2016. He is also a member of the band "Eine kleine Blasmusik" (with flugelhorn, tenor horn, accordion and tuba). The four musicians play beautiful melodies with precision and ease. Their repertoire includes passionately performed popular favourites as well as their own compositions, including traditional Bavarian-Bohemian tunes, but also thrilling tango rhythms and much more.
Music café visitors will learn many interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat between Toni Leuschner and Nancy Gibson. Well-known melodies presented by Toni Leuschner will also be played.
