DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 2 March 2017, 3 p.m.
On Thursday, 2 March 2017, Matthias Winter will be welcomed as a guest in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36 at 3 pm.
The admission price is 6 euros, including coffee and cake.
Matthias Winter, a native of Annaberg, studied singing at the Academy of Music in Leipzig. He won prizes at opera singer competitions in the GDR and at the Mozart Competition in Würzburg. He received his first engagement at the Gera Theatre. He has sung numerous major baritone roles. He has been at the Chemnitz Opera since 2001. Here he has sung roles such as the Heerrufer ("Lohengrin"), Faninal ("Rosenkavalier") and Tewje ("Anatevka"), staged operettas and musicals includingincluding "Evita", "Aida" and "West Side Story".
Nancy Gibson will also have an entertaining conversation with the guest at this music café, so that music lovers will learn interesting facts about his future opera and concert appearances. Well-known melodies will be played in between.
