DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 12 April, 3 p.m.
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 12 April at 3 pm in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36.
The guest will be Dr Jeffrey Goldberg. The pianist has been a member of the Chemnitz Opera ensemble as solo repetiteur since the beginning of the 2009/2010 season. He also performs as a concert pianist and is known for his improvisation evenings. Admission is six euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
Dr Jeffrey Goldberg studied composition and conducting at Harvard University and holds a doctorate in education from Harvard University. He worked for many years as a repetiteur and conductor at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and Staatstheater Hannover and was engaged as music director at various theatres in Boston and New England. He has also performed as a concert pianist and regularly devotes himself to new music, writing operas and improvisations.
Music café visitors will learn interesting facts about his musical ideas and his work in an exciting and informative chat between Ms Kiehn-Dziuballa and Dr Jeffrey Goldberg. Well-known melodies and improvisations will also be played.
