DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 1 February 2018, 3 p.m.
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 1 February 2018 at 3 pm in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. Guests Ingeborg Magirius and Katharina Weyandt will talk about the topic of "Love". Kerstin Randall, opera and concert singer, and Jenny Mehlhorn-Tauber, pianist, will provide the musical framework for the event.
Admission is 6 euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
Ingeborg Magirius worked for many years at the City Mission in marriage, family and life counselling and Katharina Weyandt is a freelance journalist.
Kerstin Randall has already played a wide variety of opera and operetta roles (e.g. Susannna in "The Marriage of Figaro" or Wellgunde in "Das Reingold" or Adele in "Die Fledermaus" etc.) and has been invited to guest performances at a wide variety of opera houses (e.g. in Berlin, Tokyo or Leipzig, Freiberg etc.). At the Chemnitz Opera House, for example, she appeared as Mrs Meeker in "Funny Girl" or as Vicky Nichols in the musical "Ganz oder gar nicht". The pianist Jenny Mehlhorn-Tauber teaches piano at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
Music café visitors will learn many interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat between the guests and Nancy Gibson. Well-known melodies will also be played.
