DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 7 June, 3 p.m.
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 7 June at 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. The guests this time will be the TUYA - KLANGWERK duo. Admission is 6 euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
In their concerts and performances, the two musicians Mathis Stendike and Petr Krupa transform momentary impressions and ideas into something musically audible. The audience is an integral part of the performance because it is part of the shared musical moment through its reactions and sometimes by playing along. A mixture of musical skill, strong emotionality and conceptual spirit is the recipe for expressive and impressive soundscapes and artistic messages.
The musicians always play passionately with each other and for their audience. TUYA - KLANGWERK mainly uses instruments that were an integral part of the music of Mozart's time: Viola, violin, flute, horn. Nevertheless, the duo's music seems to be miles away from Mozart's. Krupa and Stendike refer to prehistoric styles of music, which they then cover with a contemporary sound that is often labelled as lounge music or new age sounds in electronic circles. Where string and wind music reaches its creative limits, cleverly placed electronic sound tinkering connects classical and modern.
Music café visitors will learn many interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat between the guests and Nancy Gibson.
