DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 5 September, 3 p.m.
"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 5 September at 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. The entrance fee is six euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access is available at the signposted side entrance.
Musical entertainment will be provided this time by Toni Müller with the senior band of Christine Kauerhof, Gisela Tittel, Katarina Werner and Margitta Töppe. The four women have been drumming for almost 10 years in a course at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Their love of music has brought them and their teacher Toni Müller closer together. Toni Müller's young music students will also be performing on the drums.
Music teacher Toni Müller began playing the piano at the age of nine, but discovered his passion for the drums shortly afterwards. After four years of private lessons, he studied percussion at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden with Günter "Baby" Sommer, Sven Helbig and Siegfried Ludwig, among others. Since 2005, he has been travelling throughout Europe as a dedicated professional musician with various projects. He has played drums with the Nico Neidel Trio, Jonathan Leistner, Doublestroke, Insideout - the Music of Pink Floyd, the Blues Brother Tribute Tour 2014 and the TINA - the Rock Legend Tour 2015 to 2017, among others. When he is not on tour, he teaches drums at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, the Chemnitz School Model and the music school in Zschopau.
Whilst listening to well-known melodies, Musikcafé visitors will learn lots of interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat with Toni Müller. The director of the municipal music school, Nancy Gibson, will once again accompany this music café.
