DA CAPO - Music for seniors
Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 10 January, 3 p.m.
DA CAPO - Music for Seniors invites you to the first edition of the 2019 music café on Thursday, 10 January at 3 pm in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36.
The guests will be Sophie Böhmchen, speech scientist, Marie-Luise Weber, singer and Henrik Lehmann, pianist. They will take visitors into the world of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, queens of jazz and pop. Admission is 6 euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access for wheelchair users is available at the signposted side entrance.
Sophie Böhmchen will talk about two women who made music history: One shy and reserved, the other spirited and extroverted. Their incredible musical talent united the singers, who were almost the same age. Both experienced a musical career with many highs and lows. We are talking about Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. Marie-Luise Weber will bring the songs of these exceptional talents to life with her voice and Henrik Lehmann will accompany her on the piano.
Music café visitors will learn many interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat between Nancy Gibson and the artists.
