DA CAPO - Music for seniors

Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 7 March, 3 p.m.

"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café on Thursday, 7 March 2019 at 3 pm in the large hall of Kraftwerk e.V. at Kaßbergstraße 36. The guests will be Kerstin Randall (opera and concert singer), Jürgen Mutze (opera singer) and Thomas Michael Gribow (pianist). The entrance fee is six euros including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access is available at the signposted side entrance.

Kerstin Randall has already played a wide variety of opera and operetta roles (e.g. Susanna in "The Marriage of Figaro" or Wellgunde in "Das Reingold" or Adele in "Die Fledermaus" etc.). She has also been invited to perform at many opera houses (e.g. in Berlin, Tokyo and Leipzig). At the Chemnitz Opera House, audiences have seen her as Mrs Meeker in "Funny Girl" and as Vicky Nichols in the musical "Ganz oder gar nicht".

Jürgen Mutze was born in Vogtland and is a versatile artist. He feels just as comfortable in operas as he does in operettas and musicals. For him, there is no difference between serious and light music; good music is simply good music. The fact that he is still able to slip into almost any role today is thanks to his wide-ranging studies in Weimar, where he not only received training as a singer, but also as a designer. His parade role is undoubtedly the witch in Engelbert Humperdink's opera "Hansel and Gretel".

Over well-known melodies, Musikcafé visitors learn many interesting facts in an exciting and informative chat.
