DA CAPO - Music for senior citizens

Music café at Kraftwerk e.V. on 7 April, 3 p.m. - with Christiane Korn

On Thursday, 7 April at 3 pm, senior citizens are once again invited to a DA CAPO music café - music for senior citizens in the main hall of Kraftwerk e.V..

Christiane Korn, musician and music teacher at the municipal music school, will be a guest. In conversation with Cynthia Kempe-Schönfeld, Managing Director of Kraftwerk e.V., Christiane Korn will talk about her career.

The entrance fee is 6 euros, including coffee and cake Barrier-free access is available at the signposted side entrance. Due to the limited number of seats, visitors are requested to make a reservation by calling 0371 3839030.

Christiane Korn began learning to play the violin at the age of six at the Karl-Marx-Stadt Municipal Music School. As a teenager, she was a member of the TU orchestra as well as various folk, rock and jazz bands.

She initially pursued a career in medicine, working as a physiotherapist. In 1996, Christiane Korn completely changed her life and studied music education at the Carl-Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden under Annette Unger. She graduated in 2002 and has been working as a freelance music teacher and musician ever since. Christiane Korn teaches at the municipal music school in Chemnitz and plays in the chamber orchestra "Collegium Instrumentale Chemnitz" and in the trio "Jazz ohne Stress".

The talk will be framed by well-known melodies that Christiane Korn will play with her students.
