DA CAPO - Music for senior citizens
Music café at Kraftwerk e. V. on 2 March, 3 p.m. - with Kerstin Randall
On Thursday, 2 March at 3 pm, interested parties are once again invited to a DA CAPO music café - music for senior citizens in the large hall of Kraftwerk e. V., Kaßbergstraße 36. The guests will be opera and concert singer Kerstin Randall and some of her students. The director of the municipal music school, Nancy Gibson, will be chatting with them. They will be supported by Emi Suzuki on the piano.
Admission is 7 euros, including coffee and cake.
Kerstin Randall has already played various opera and operetta roles (e.g. Susannna in "The Marriage of Figaro", Wellgunde in "Das Reingold" or Adele in "Die Fledermaus") and has been invited to guest performances at opera houses in Berlin, Tokyo and Leipzig, among others. At Chemnitz Opera House, she has appeared as Mrs Meeker in "Funny Girl" and as Vicky Nichols in the musical "Ganz oder gar nicht". She is characterised by her extraordinary versatility and variability.
The Japanese pianist Emi Suzuki studied at the Tokyo College of Music and completed her studies at the Prague Conservatory. As a soloist, but also as a chamber musician in various ensembles, she has toured Germany, the Czech Republic, Japan, France, Hungary, Italy and Thailand. She has won prizes in Japan, the Czech Republic and Italy. Emi Suzuki currently teaches at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School and the Youth Art School in Chomutov. She is involved in German-Czech co-operation on behalf of the Saxon Mozart Society.
