DA CAPO - Music for senior citizens

"European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025" on 2 February, 3 pm - with Stefan Schmidtke, at Kraftwerk e. V., Kaßbergstraße 36

On Thursday, 2 February at 3 pm, interested parties and music lovers are once again invited to a DA CAPO music café - music for senior citizens in the large hall of Kraftwerk e. V., Kaßbergstraße 36. The theme of this music café is the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.

The entrance fee is 7 euros, including coffee and cake. Barrier-free access is available at the signposted side entrance. Due to the limited number of seats, visitors are requested to make a reservation by calling 0371 3839030.

This year's guest is Stefan Schmidtke, Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH. In conversation with host Nancy Gibson, he will provide insights into the current state of planning and also about himself. The musical accompaniment will be provided by Anna-Lena Kreher, a young accordion player who has already won several competitions.

Stefan Schmidtke is a dramaturge, translator and cultural manager. After studying directing, he worked at various theatres, e.g. in Moscow, Berlin, Omsk and St. Petersburg. He was a curator and dramaturge in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Vienna. Since 1 December 2021, he has been Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH.
