Adult education centre: online events for parents and teachers
As part of the "trau.schau.wem?" project, Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is inviting parents and teachers to take part in an online series on the topic of cyber safety for children. This series addresses various topics that are important for the protection of children in digital media. Participation is free of charge.

"Protecting children online - the dangers of cyberbullying"
On social networks, everyone is both a sender and a receiver - and not just of nice and friendly messages. There is also a lot of hatred and hate speech, with taunts, insults and bad words not uncommon. Bullying can have devastating consequences for the psyche of children and young people. This course equips parents and educators to recognise the phenomena of cyberbullying and hate speech in good time and then to be able to talk about it sensitively and appropriately with children and young people and derive possible courses of action. The legal framework in the digital space will also be explained.

"Publishing photos - what you need to know about copyright and co."
Among other things, this will address the following questions: What should you know before publishing photos? What exceptions restrict the so-called "right to one's own image" and copyright? The event clarifies these questions and sensitises people to the careful use of photos.
