Cut your own Christmas trees with the forester
Christmas tree sale on Saturday, 9 December at Ebersdorfer Wald
The City of Chemnitz Parks Department will be selling Christmas trees in Ebersdorf Forest on Saturday, 9 December between 10 am and 1 pm. The trees are blue spruces between 1.50 and 3 metres high, which you can select and cut yourself. If necessary, the forestry workers will of course lend a helping hand.
The trees are grown without the use of pesticides or fertilisers. A tree costs 15 euros, payable by EC card or cash. If you wish, you can take your tree home wrapped in a net.
Bringing your own handsaw saves waiting time. However, the use of your own chainsaw is not permitted.
Access by car is from the Tännichtleite to the edge of the forest through the open barrier on the path next to the power lines to the Christmas tree plantations. The exit is only possible through the railway overpass and the road "An der Bahnstrecke".
The sales location will be signposted from Stiftsweg and Slevogtstraße.
