Creativity meets road safety

Press event: Inauguration of the enforcement trailer designed with children's drawings on 22 May, 9 a.m., Valentina Tereschkowa-GS, Haydnstraße 21

On Thursday, 22 May at 9 a.m., the prize-giving ceremony of the painting competition and the official inauguration of an enforcement trailer designed with children's drawings will take place at the entrance of Valentina Tereschkowa Primary School, Haydnstraße 21.

Media representatives are cordially invited. Mayor Knut Kunze will present the result together with Thomas Fabricius, Head of Sales and Marketing at VETRO Verkehrselektronik GmbH, and the young artists.

Under the title "Road Safety", pupils from Chemnitz primary schools and after-school care centres took part in a special painting competition - with the aim of sensitising children and young people to the issue of road safety and making their messages visible where they have the greatest impact: on the roads.

The three best schools will be honoured at the event: 1st prize, worth 1,500 euros, goes to the Kappelino day nursery at Valentina Tereschkowa primary school, 2nd place, worth 1,000 euros, goes to Schönau primary school and 3rd place, worth 500 euros, goes to Baumgarten primary school.

The special feature: all the children's pictures submitted have found a place on the enforcement trailer. The mobile speed measurement trailer was completely wrapped with the pupils' colourful and impressive drawings. In this way, the topic of safety is communicated creatively and at the same time effectively to the public.

The prize money and the complete wrapping of the speed camera trailer were provided by VETRO Verkehrselektronik GmbH. With this commitment, the company not only supports creative educational work, but also sets an example for greater road safety.
