Call for projects Chemnitz 2025 "City of Culture Europe"
As part of the bid to become European Capital of Culture 2025, the Capital of Culture Office is calling on the people of Chemnitz to develop micro-projects or sketches of ideas. This will enable new forms of cultural participation in the application process.
The projects should focus on the connection between art, culture and living space. The broad urban community is encouraged to create new forms of communication and social interaction. The projects should contribute to the cultural diversity of the city of Chemnitz and promote mutual understanding.
Associations, initiatives and stakeholders can submit their specific implementation measures or ideas by the following three application deadlines: 30 September 2017, 31 March 2018, 30 September 2018. The documents must include the planned expenses, such as materials and fees, and a project description.
Project ideas should be sent by email to Chemnitz2025(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.
The selection will be made by a jury nominated by the programme council of the Capital of Culture application. Micro-projects can be supported with a sum of up to 2500 euros. Self-financing is not required.
