COVID-19 and vaccination: what do I need to know?

The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre invites you to an online lecture on Thursday, 25 February at 7 p.m. on vaccination against the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). The lecture and discussion will provide basic information and offer the opportunity to put questions directly to a medical expert.

The vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 and the debate about its progress in recent weeks have unsettled many people. The thicket of news is sometimes hard to penetrate. What vaccines are available and how do they work? Are the vaccines really safe, even though they have been developed and tested in a short space of time? What vaccine reactions and side effects can occur? When can the individual population groups be vaccinated? And last but not least: What arguments are put forward for and against vaccination? The lecture and discussion will address these questions and the experiences of the first few weeks.
Infectiologist Stephan Prescher from Chemnitz Hospital will be on hand to answer questions. He will shed light on how the virus spreads and what effects an illness can have from his everyday clinical work. He will then explain everything you need to know about vaccination.
