Counselling and library mobile for people with visual impairments in use in Chemnitz
On Tuesday, 31 January, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the advice and library mobile of the German Central Library for the Blind (DZB) will be stopping in front of the TIETZ (Reitbahnstraße entrance). Visitors will be able to find out what services are available for people with impaired vision and how they can be used.
Consultants from Blickpunkt Auge* will answer questions about the most common eye diseases, provide an overview of visual aids and other aids as well as rehabilitation measures. There is also advice on possible legal and financial claims.
The German Central Library for the Blind will provide information about its range of literature for readers with visual impairments. The specialised library offers audio books for borrowing free of charge. In addition, a wide range of suitable media can be borrowed and other services utilised. The expert advisors on site provide tips and assistance for leisure, work and everyday life.

The counselling and library mobile is a service offered by the "Friends of the DZB e. V." association, the Saxony Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired e. V. (BSVS) and the German Library Association. (BSVS) and the German Central Library for the Blind (DZB).
