Councillor Steffi Barthold resigns from office
Thomas Uhl appointed as new city councillor
Steffi Barthold ended her work as a city councillor at yesterday's city council meeting.
She was a member of the Einsiedel local council from 1 July 1999 to 17 January 2017 and was a member of the SPD parliamentary group as a councillor from the beginning of the 2014 electoral term. She was actively involved in the social committee and the allotment garden advisory board as a member as well as in the school and sports committee and on the advisory board of the Chemnitz job centre as a deputy member.
Mayor Ludwig thanked Steffi Barthold for her work as a city councillor for the city of Chemnitz.
The City Council agreed to Steffi Barthold's resignation for good cause in accordance with 18 (1) SächsGemO. Her successor is Thomas Uhl, who was her immediate successor in the official final result of the 2014 municipal elections.
Thomas Uhl was sworn in as a city councillor by the Lord Mayor at the meeting and was able to exercise his rights and duties as a city councillor with immediate effect.
