Councillor Meike Roden resigns from office

Tobias Tannenhauer appointed as new city councillor

Meike Roden ended her work as a city councillor at yesterday's city council meeting.

She had been a member of the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary group as a city councillor since the beginning of the 2014 electoral term. She was actively involved in the Schools and Sports Committee and the Petitions Committee as a member, as well as in the Culture Committee and Social Affairs Committee and temporarily as a deputy member of the Works Committee. She was also a member of the supervisory board of GGGmbH.

Mayor Ludwig thanked Meike Roden for her work as a city councillor for the City of Chemnitz.

The City Council agreed to Meike Roden's resignation for good cause in accordance with 18 (1) SächsGemO. Her successor is Tobias Tannenhauer, who was her immediate successor in the official final result of the 2014 municipal elections.

Tobias Tannenhauer was sworn in as a city councillor by the Lord Mayor at the meeting and was able to exercise his rights and duties as a city councillor with immediate effect.
