Cosmonaut Festival on 27 and 28 June at the Oberrabenstein reservoir
Traffic authority asks festival visitors to pay attention to information on parking facilities and temporary traffic restrictions on site Tip: Shuttle service between the central bus stop and the reservoir area
Chemnitz will host a top-class music event on Friday (27 June) and Saturday (28 June): The 2nd Kosmonaut Festival will take place on both days at the Oberrabenstein reservoir. The city's transport authority would ask visitors to take note of the following information when travelling to and from the event:
Shuttle service: The organiser will be running a free shuttle service for festival visitors between the central bus stop and the Oberrabenstein reservoir from Friday (27 June) to Sunday (29 June) inclusive - please refer to the CVAG publications(www.cvag.de) and the festival organiser's website(www.kosmonaut-festival.de) for departure times.
Parking facilities: The organiser has provided sufficient parking facilities for festival visitors arriving by car (see map in the appendix). When parking, visitors are asked to note that the car park at the reservoir will only be used by visitors attending the festival as campers - information boards and stewards will be on site to assist. All day visitors are requested to use the grassy area provided by the organisers on Oberfrohnaer Straße towards the land after Kreisigstraße.
Traffic information for the Oberfrohnaer Straße area: In the period from Friday, 27 June, 8 a.m. to Sunday, 29 June, 12 noon, an increased volume of traffic and pedestrians crossing Oberfrohnaer Straße is to be expected. In order to safeguard the arrival and pedestrian traffic, stopping bans and a speed reduction to 30 km/h will be imposed on Oberfrohnaer Straße between the entrance to Rabenstein and the BAB 4 motorway access road. Stopping restrictions will also be introduced on Kreisigstraße between Oberfrohnaer Straße and Röhrsdorfer Straße. Pedestrian traffic lights will be installed at the crossing point between the "Tagesgäste" car park and the event site to ensure safe crossing of Oberfrohnaer Straße.
