Cosmonaut Festival at the Oberrabenstein reservoir from 24 - 25 June 2016

Shuttle buses - changed traffic routing - parking facilities

This year's Kosmonaut Festival will take place next weekend at the Oberrabenstein reservoir.

The organiser is running a free shuttle service ("Spaceshuttle", line SF) between the main railway station and the Oberrabenstein reservoir for visitors to the festival from Friday to Sunday. The exact departure times can be found on the websites of the organiser and CVAG.

The organiser has also provided sufficient parking facilities for those arriving at the festival by car (see map). The car park directly at the reservoir is closed and is only available for deliveries and wheelchair users.

All other festival participants (campers and day visitors) are requested to use the grassed area provided by the organisers on Oberfrohnaer Straße, landwards after Kreisigstraße.

Access to the large car park is from the A4 motorway, exit Limbach-Oberfrohna via Oberfrohnaer Straße - Trützschlerstraße - Röhrsdorfer Straße - Kreisigstraße. Coming from Zwickauer Straße via Oberfrohnaer Straße - Trützschlerstraße - Röhrsdorfer Straße - Kreisigstraße. Please observe the parking guidance signs.

Kreisigstraße has been set up as a one-way street from Röhrsdorfer Straße in the direction of Oberfrohnaer Straße.

In the period from 24 June, 8 a.m. to 26 June, 12 p.m., increased traffic volumes and pedestrian crossings on Oberfrohnaer Straße are to be expected.

In order to safeguard access and pedestrian traffic, stopping bans and a speed limit of 30 km/h will be imposed on Oberfrohnaer Straße between the entrance to Rabenstein and the A4 motorway access road. Stopping restrictions will also be imposed on Kreisigstraße between Oberfrohnaer Straße and Röhrsdorfer Straße.

Pedestrian traffic lights will be installed at the crossing point between the car park and the event site to ensure safe crossing of Oberfrohnaer Straße.

Festival participants are requested to use the shuttle service that has been set up and to observe the designated parking facilities, the stopping bans that have been put in place, the instructions of the stewards and the planning boards that have been put up.
