Corona outpatient clinic Chemnitz opens

Open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Chemnitz residents

The City of Chemnitz is opening a coronavirus outpatient clinic on the exhibition grounds from tomorrow, 17 March at 8 a.m. in cooperation with the three Chemnitz hospitals and the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

The outpatient clinic serves as a contact point ONLY for citizens of Chemnitz who show symptoms of respiratory diseases and have been in risk areas or have had direct contact with a confirmed coronavirus case.

The examination is free of charge. The chip card must be brought along.

A test will be carried out to determine whether you are infected with the coronavirus. Doctors will then decide on the spot how to continue treatment.

People who have no symptoms but have been to risk areas will continue to be asked to stay at home for a fortnight and avoid social contact as far as possible.

The outpatient clinic will initially be open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. A total of 140 treatment compartments are available for treatment, 90 of which are equipped with chairs and 50 with couches.

If possible, we recommend travelling by private car, as there are plenty of free parking spaces available. Those affected will be given a number at the car park, which they can use to report to the entrance when called. They will be received there. Admission is on an individual basis.
