Conversion of the former Braustolz brewery confirmed
Creation of an attractive residential and office location
At its meeting today, the city council confirmed the conversion of the site of the former Braustolz brewery into a residential and office location. Following the relocation of the brewery and the sale of the property, the new owner, the development company "Am Feldschlösschen mbH", announced that a concept had been developed and agreed with the city.
This concept is now available: For example, the majority of the listed buildings on the approximately five-hectare site will be preserved from decay. The new owner intends to establish mainly flats and offices there. Terraced houses and owner-occupied homes are to be built on other parts of the site.
Further conditions that the owner is observing during the conversion: A new drainage network will be built and the brewery's sewage treatment plants, which are no longer required, will be decommissioned. A renaturalisation of the Kappelbach stream is planned. The existing paths for pedestrians, motor vehicles and cyclists are to be adapted to the new use.
The sustainability of building materials, the energy concept and rainwater management will be emphasised. For example, photovoltaic systems are planned on the roofs of the buildings to generate electricity. The electricity generated is to be used exclusively for own consumption. It can also be used to power charging stations for electric vehicles.Construction work is to begin as soon as possible.
