Opening event on 16 September at the Neumarkt

The Intercultural Weeks will once again take place in Chemnitz from 16 September to 1 October 2017. During these two weeks, clubs, associations, educational institutions, parishes and authorities will have the opportunity to present their work. Chemnitz residents are invited to find out more about the topics of migration, integration and asylum and to take advantage of offers for tolerant and peaceful coexistence. The Intercultural Weeks in Chemnitz will be opened on 16 September 2017 at 12 noon on the Neumarkt square under the motto "Diversity connects."

Anyone who would like to take part in the opening and the following two-week series of events with their own programmes can express their interest to the municipal migration officer.
Training courses, encounters, theatre performances, concerts, country evenings, sporting events, readings, exchanges between different religions and much more are all possible.

Artists are still being sought for the stage programme for the opening event. Sponsorship offers and other forms of participation in the work are also welcome. The registration forms are now available at www.chemnitz.de.
