Construction work to extend the B 174 Zschopauer Straße requires the Otto-Thörner-Straße entrance and exit to be closed from Monday (12 August)
Necessary closure probably until 31 August - then further half-sided closure - note diversion towards the countryside and the city centre
As part of the construction work to extend the B 174 Zschopauer Straße, the access and exit to Otto-Thörner-Straße on Zschopauer Straße will have to be fully closed from Monday, 12 August until probably Saturday, 31 August 2013.
The reason for the necessary closure is the work required to relocate the DN 800 long-distance water supply pipeline as part of the expansion of the B 174 Zschopauer Straße.
Once this work has been completed, Otto-Thörner-Straße will be closed on one side until probably the 40th calendar week (end of September), as the relocation and rebinding work must be completed. The half-side closure is necessary as the excavation pit for reconnecting the new pipeline to the existing pipeline must remain open until the necessary hygiene and pressure tests have been completed.
However, the half-side closure will then allow access from Zschopauer Straße again, probably from the 36th calendar week. The traffic authority of the city of Chemnitz asks residents and all other road users to note that for the duration of the above-mentioned The following diversion is to be used for the period of the full closure of the Otto-Thörner-Straße access and exit: travelling towards the countryside via Zschopauer Straße - Walter-Janka-Straße - Kleinolbersdorfer Straße and towards the city via Zschopauer Straße - Georgistraße - Kleinolberdorfer Straße.
