Construction work required on tracks
With immediate effect, a speed limit of 30 km/h will come into force for vehicle traffic on Reichsstraße at Stollberger Straße in the direction of Zwickauer Straße.
The reason for this is the condition of the track system, which according to CVAG has deteriorated rapidly.
The necessary repair work will take place from 2 to 13 May 2016. Reichsstraße will probably have to be fully closed at the level of the Stollberger Straße track system for this.
The situation is similar at the Zwickauer Straße/ Reichsstraße track crossing. Repairs will be carried out here from 2 to 9 May 2016 and the crossing will have to be fully closed during this period. Longitudinal traffic on Zwickauer Straße will remain unaffected.
According to CVAG, the renewal of the track crossings is necessary in order to maintain tram operations.
It is recommended to drive around the construction area.
