Construction work on Zwickauer Straße between Michaelstraße and Kappler Drehe
Two of the three lanes on Zwickauer Straße between Michaelstraße and Kappler Drehe will be closed in the landward direction next week to repair a drinking water fault. In order to keep traffic disruptions to a minimum, the work will be carried out at night from Monday 26 November at 7 pm until Tuesday 27 November at 2 pm. One lane will then remain closed until Wednesday 28 November at 10 a.m. at the latest to allow the asphalt to cool down.
Due to the construction work, considerable congestion is to be expected on the Zwickauer Straße out of town. For traffic travelling to the A 72, Chemnitz-Süd junction, it is recommended to divert to the Rottluff or Chemnitz-Mitte junction or to bypass the congested area via Annaberger Straße, Südring.
