Construction project for the expansion of Wilhelm-Busch-Straße 1st construction phase completed and finalised
The extensive civil engineering work coordinated between the utility company eins energie, the city's waste disposal company (ESC) and the civil engineering department for the expansion of Wilhelm-Busch-Straße has now been completed and finalised in the first construction phase.
In the section between Horst-Fischer-Straße and Kleinolbersdorfer Straße, wastewater and rainwater sewers were laid in this residential street in accordance with the city of Chemnitz's wastewater disposal concept, thus creating a connection to the central Heinersdorf sewage treatment plant.
On the approx. 500 metre long section, the gas pipeline and the communication lines were also replaced and the road was upgraded with a new footpath.
The total construction costs for the project, which began in July 2012 (PM 417 dated 12 July 2012), amounted to EUR 665,000.
The construction measures were realised by the civil engineering company Frank Schulze from Werdau.
The construction measures in the 2nd construction phase between Kleinolbersdorfer Straße and Zschopauer Straße are planned for 2016 after completion of the extension and remodelling of Zschopauer Straße.
