The skate park on Chemnitzer Straße, opposite the Kaufland supermarket, was completed after a three-month construction period. Three new skate elements were created on the existing bitumen skate area in close consultation with the users. Young people can now roll and jump over a mini ramp with a bench, a rooftop with ledge and rail and a quarter pipe.

If the technical terms don't immediately conjure up a picture in your mind's eye, you are cordially invited to the opening of the skate park today in the early afternoon at 2.30 pm. Contributors and councillors who have been involved in the project will be on site.

sLandArt from Chemnitz was responsible for the planning and construction supervision. The construction work was carried out by Saule Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau from Dresden.
The construction costs totalled 37,000 euros.
