Construction of a beer garden in Wittgensdorf approved
The city of Chemnitz has approved the planning application for a beer garden on the Chemnitz Valley cycle path in the Wittgensdorf district. Following an intensive technical examination by various authorities, the developer is now allowed to build a beer garden with an outdoor area for 145 guests, a beach volleyball court and parking spaces for 25 vehicles.
The environmental, civil engineering and urban planning authorities have no objections to the project. In the view of the environmental agency, the impact on nature can be compensated for and a potential flood risk is not relevant. The beer garden may be open until 10 pm in future.
Residents who have lodged complaints against the project will be informed by the authorities in the coming days and will be given the exact reasons for the authorisation.
