Consequences of flooding: Family bike tour "Vital & mobile" cancelled
The "Vital & mobil" family bike tour planned for next Sunday had to be cancelled today. The police and organisers have to assume that the planned route will definitely not be passable by Sunday. A completely new route cannot be prepared in the short time available due to the deployment of police personnel in flooded areas.
In addition, the organisers consider a cycle tour on a route where those affected by the floods are still busy repairing the damage to be inappropriate.
VITA Center and the City of Chemnitz plan to reschedule the cycle tour on 15 September as part of the European Mobility Week.
