Lord Mayor Sven Schulze: "I would like to send Prof Carl Hahn warm congratulations from his home city of Chemnitz on his 95th birthday. On the occasion of his day of honour, I would particularly like to thank him for the commitment he has shown to our city and the entire economic region. It was always close to his heart to strengthen the industrial centres of Chemnitz and Zwickau. With the return of the VW Group to its homeland, it has succeeded in building on its rich industrial history and laying the foundations for successful innovations to this day."
