Congratulations on your 100th birthday!

Lieselotte Schultz celebrates her "round" birthday on 25 September 2012

Lieselotte Schultz will turn 100 on 25 September 2012. A representative of the Mayor's Office will be wishing her a happy birthday at 3.30 p.m. at Rembrandtstraße 15 in 09111 Chemnitz (ASB nursing home).

Lieselotte Schultz, née Wiesner, was born on 25 September 1912 in Guben (Brandenburg). She married Rudolf Schultz in 1939 and gave birth to their son Manfred in the same year. Two years later, twins Rita and Jürgen followed. Before her children were born, Lieselotte Schultz worked as an accountant and saleswoman, later she also worked as a sales outlet manager and clerk in Wolferstedt and Sangerhausen.
Her favourite pastime, however, was gardening and, on the side, making knitted items for the whole family. And as the family grew bigger and bigger, now comprising six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, she had her hands full.

Today, Lieselotte Schultz feels at home in Chemnitz, even if she is unfortunately no longer able to explore the neighbourhood on her own. After a stroke and a broken hip, she is no longer able to walk well. All the more reason for her to look forward to a visit from her three children, who will be celebrating her 100th birthday with her.
