Congratulations on your 100th birthday!
Marianne Schuster celebrates her "milestone" birthday on 3 August 2012
Marianne Schuster from Chemnitz will turn 100 on 3 August 2012. A representative of the Mayor's Office will be wishing her a happy birthday at 11 a.m. at the Alexa senior citizens' residence at Hohe Straße 6 in Chemnitz.
Marianne Schuster, née Pompé, was born on 3 August 1912 in Chemnitz. The family lived in Dreiwerden near Mittweida, but decided to give birth in Chemnitz due to the expected difficult birth. In her youth, her daughter attended the Mathilde Zimmer Foundation boarding school, whose graduates continued to meet regularly for many years. After Marianne and her husband Erich married on 9 May 1935, twins Christel and Hans were born in 1937.
Today, Marianne Schuster's family includes two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. And as chance would have it, granddaughter Susanne chose the same wedding day, 9 May. But the surprises didn't stop there: The birth of a pair of twins was also repeated once again among the great-grandchildren.
Marianne Schuster can look forward to a visit from all her relatives. They all want to come and celebrate this special day with her. They will celebrate together with friends and acquaintances in the Alexa retirement home. The grandchildren will play a serenade on the violin - a special treat for the sprightly senior citizen, who used to enjoy playing the piano herself, preferably Chopin. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to pursue this hobby due to age-related health restrictions.
