Concert - STARS for FREE on Friday (30 August) in the Chemnitz Arena
Free travel in the VMS area with the concert ticket - concert-goers please note the traffic authority's information on traffic jams and parking options
The STARS for FREE concert will take place in the Chemnitz Arena on Friday from 6 pm: A whole host of stars have announced their attendance - including Die Söhne Mannheims, 2Raumwohnung, Frida Gold, DSDS star Lisa Wohlgemuth, Arash, Lou Bega and Madcon. According to the organisers, around 10,500 visitors are expected to attend the concert. The city's traffic authority asks concert visitors travelling by car to bear in mind that increased traffic volumes are to be expected around the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre, on Zwickauer Straße and on the Südring from 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon until 2 a.m. on Saturday morning. There is a risk of traffic jams on the A 72 motorway in the Chemnitz-Süd exit area and on Neefestraße - concert-goers should note the information published in the overview map and the alternative routes indicated.
In order to ensure rapid access to the Chemnitz Arena car park (facility), the green light time for left turns from Neefestraße into Jaenickestraße will be extended and Jaenickestraße will be widened to two lanes. Wandererstraße from Jaenickestraße in the direction of Neefestraße (Solaris) will become a one-way street. Please pay attention to the signs on site regarding parking facilities and the instructions of the stewards.

By the way: The concert ticket entitles you to free travel throughout the Central Saxony Transport Association (VMS) before and after the event.
After the concert, CVAG offers additional journeys from the Jaenickestraße stop in the direction of the main railway station from 0:50 am to 1:30 am, thus guaranteeing a night-time connection at 1:45 am at the central stop.
