Competition for the market fountain
Invitation to the press conference: 5 June 2019. 2 pm, Kunstsammlungen
On Wednesday, 5 June at 2 pm, Mayor Michael Stötzer will host a press conference at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz to announce the winners of the Marktbrunnen competition.
Together with the jury members and the chairwoman, Else Gabriel, as well as the director of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Frédéric Bußmann, the mayor will announce the jury's decisions.
The jury will make its decision on the placings independently and confidently based on professional and factual considerations. The winning design will be built.
A budget of 450,000 euros has been earmarked for this. Construction of the fountain is scheduled to begin in 2020.
