Committed Chemnitz residents take part in the Federal President's reception on 3 October 2016

Socially engaged Chemnitz residents and Mayor Miko Runkel, standing in for Mayor Barbara Ludwig, have been invited to attend the reception hosted by Federal President Joachim Gauck to mark the Day of German Unity in Dresden on 3 October.

A ceremony in the Semper Opera House and the subsequent reception by the Federal President will be the highlight of the central celebrations for the Day of German Unity from 1 to 3 October in Dresden.

The ceremony in the Semper Opera House will be broadcast live into the plenary chamber of the Saxon State Parliament on 3 October at 12 noon. The participants from Chemnitz are also invited to attend.
