Club database of the city of Chemnitz grows
Offer goes back to association dialogue
Whether carer for the elderly, reader or football coach. Whether it's a socio-cultural project, working in a self-help group or accompanying refugees: Volunteering has many faces, as today's Volunteer Day shows. A large proportion of voluntary work takes place in organisations.
The database on the city's website, which is currently being set up step by step at www.chemnitz.de/vereine, aims to provide as broad a picture as possible of life in Chemnitz's associations. The service is based on an agreement made by Mayor Barbara Ludwig at the dialogue events with Chemnitz associations in autumn 2018 and 2019. Around 100 associations are now part of the database, which is growing daily with more entries.
The database is intended to support volunteer work and give Chemnitz citizens as well as all guests and visitors to the city a better overview of the lively club life in Chemnitz. Registration is free of charge.
The database and all information on registration, which is open to all voluntary and non-commercial organisations, can be found at www.chemnitz.de/vereine.
