Closure of the communal forest
In the interests of safety for the citizens of Chemnitz, access to the municipal forest is prohibited with immediate effect due to storm damage.
It cannot be ruled out that entire trees will subsequently topple or that parts of crowns and branches will fall. In view of the weather forecasts for the rest of the week, there is also a high risk potential.
The Parks Department is endeavouring to repair the existing damage as quickly as possible and asks for your understanding regarding the ban on access.
