Closure of Johannisstraße at Bahnhofstraße
From Monday 21 June, Johannisstraße will be closed at Bahnhofstraße.
Access to Johannisplatz will then only be possible via Straße der Nationen. For this purpose, the pedestrian zone will be opened to local traffic. A lane will be indicated by beacons.
The reason for the closure is track construction work: The track between the Stefan-Heym-Platz and Zentralhaltestelle stops will be replaced; this will run across Johannisstraße and the access road to the bus lane at the Zentralhaltestelle stop.
The buses will run between Johannisstraße and Falkeplatz on Bahnhofstraße and stop at the replacement stop between Rathausstraße and Bretgasse on Bahnhofstraße.
The closure will last until 16 July 2021.
Road traffic along Bahnhofstraße will not be affected.
The diversion for local traffic will be via Bahnhofstraße, Theaterstraße, Brückenstraße and Straße der Nationen (see map). Residents have been informed and arrangements have been made to ensure larger transport operations (Posthof, eins energie construction site).
