Civil society initiatives wanted for monitoring committee
Participation in the implementation of the municipal action strategy for the promotion of democracy - applications possible until 15 September
For the Monitoring Committee of the Local Action Plan of the City of Chemnitz for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz (LAP), we are looking for committed civil society initiatives that would like to participate in the implementation of the municipal action strategy for the promotion of democracy as a member of the Monitoring Committee. The monitoring committee advises the LAP coordination office on project funding decisions. The majority of its members must be local or regional stakeholders from civil society.
From 1 January 2024, three new seats for civil society actors on the monitoring committee will have to be filled. The application deadline is 15 September 2023.
A prerequisite for the application is the willingness to participate in several meetings per year and the controlling of individual projects. Furthermore, the initiative should have a broad impact on urban society and preferably be based in Chemnitz.
The call for applications is based on the guidelines of the City of Chemnitz for the funding of projects within the framework of the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz of 15 December 2021 and the current funding principles of the federal programme "Demokratie Leben".
