Photo opportunity: 2 July, 1 p.m., Glösa Volunteer Fire Brigade equipment depot

On Thursday, 2 July at 1 pm, 1,800 litres of disinfectant will be donated to the city of Chemnitz by the Wernesgrüner brewery. André Weltz, Managing Director Marketing, will hand over the donation to the two mayors Ralph Burghart (Social Services Department) and Sven Schulze (Head of Administration) as well as representatives of the Chemnitz Social Services Department and Heim gGmbH in the equipment centre of the Glösa Volunteer Fire Brigade, Bornaer Straße 203.

Mayor Ralph Burghart: "If necessary, the disinfectant will be distributed to the emergency services, care services and homes as well as municipal facilities. We assume that the coronavirus pandemic will keep us busy for some time to come. I am all the more pleased about this support!"

Mayor Sven Schulze: "The donation from the Wernesgrüner brewery is a good example of supra-regional cooperation. Our fire brigade, which is helping to tackle the coronavirus crisis on a daily basis, will be distributing the disinfectants to the Chemnitz facilities as usual."

The city of Chemnitz has so far received almost 8,000 litres of disinfectant from various companies.
