City of Chemnitz receives funding for Park am Pleißenbach

On Monday, 27 March at 9 a.m., the President of the State Directorate of Saxony (LDS), Regina Kraushaar, will hand over a funding decision for the district park at Pleißenbach in Chemnitz-Altendorf in the city showcase on the ground floor of the Technical Town Hall, Friedensplatz 1. Mayor of Construction Michael Stötzer will receive the notification totalling around 520,000 euros.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
As part of "Stadt am Fluss", the neighbourhood park on Pleißenbach is an important intervention area for Chemnitz as European Capital of Culture 2025. The site of the former Altendorf goods station between Beyerstrasse and Rudolf-Krahl-Strasse is to be developed into a park with open spaces for public use as well as additional areas for housing, community use and commerce, including flood protection.
