City of Chemnitz eases restrictions
Night-time curfew and 15-kilometre radius for shopping and sports are lifted
The city of Chemnitz is utilising the new possibilities offered by the state's Corona Protection Ordinance and easing certain restrictions.
Mayor Sven Schulze decided to lift the 15-kilometre radius for shopping, sport and exercise as well as the night-time curfew. He had already announced this on Friday.
Schulze: "Thanks to the joint efforts of all Chemnitz residents, we have succeeded in reducing the number of infections in the city. I would like to thank everyone who is sticking to the rules. It is therefore possible to lift these initial restrictions. Nevertheless, it is important to continue to be careful and stick to the rules, especially with regard to mutations. Only together can we continue to reduce the numbers and ensure that further restrictions are eased soon."
